Played on a 11 X 11 weiqi board, there are just a few rules to make the game more fun.
1) (-) and (+) spots are minus 5 and plus 5 points each.
2) At the start of each game, each player secretly plays 3 stones, each will be worth 5 points. In the event of an overlap, the spot turns into a (-) spot without any points.
3) Bidding for Komi. Quite simply, you choose a number of stones to represent komi you are willing to give opponent. Your opponent does the same. Whoever gives more komi gets to start first.
I hope they come up with an online version of this game and throw in a random board, sounds like fun.
