Translink - Canada Line
This is the date and time the gates will be opened to let the public ride the rails. From 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm explore the Canada Line fare free.
Below are some tips to make your experience more enjoyable as we expect there to be many people wishing to experience the Canada Line on Opening Day
* Be patient, and expect large crowds
* Wear comfortable shoes and bring water, sunscreen and a hat to stay cool
* Get on the train at the station nearest your home or work
* Get off the train and explore neighbourhoods around each station
* Please, no bikes or pets on opening day
* Fares apply to all other parts of the transit system
* Regular Canada Line service begins on the morning of Tuesday, August 18
