NBA 2009-2010 begins TODAY!
NBA Season is starting today. Boy, am I excited.
Eddie Griffin is injured before the season opens so once again, the Clippers can't catch a break. Meanwhile, I will be rooting for Lebron and crew, having added Shaq, Moon, Parker and Green - they are tougher both defensively and offensively than last year. They should be one of the four or five hot favs to win it all.
Hate the Lakers and Kobe. Throw in Ron Artest and I hate them even more. They must be destroyed!!
San Antonio is talented but gaining on age with plenty of health issues. I see them making a run but this is not to be their year.
Boston is still the main threat if K.G. is healthy. But they do not have a better team than the Cavs this year, that is if the Cavs bench do not choke once again.
Orlando. Superman makes this team so dangerous and now they add Vince Carter (not really sure what they were thinking). I still think they are a team that can be easily handled if Dwight is contained, on the other hand, they do have a good coach so matchups problems will almost always exist.
This year will be interesting!!

Freedom with your softwares, user-friendly interface, lighter and faster, what more can you ask for from a group effort from Verizon, Google and Motorola? It is good to see some serious competition to the Iphone, I am sick of having to pay for all the softwares that many aren't even that good.

Samsung Electronics Develops the World’s First Single Chip for North American Mobile Digital TV Standard Approved
In today’s globalized environment, technology makes all the difference in crossing borders. In case you haven’t heard, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. have announced that it has successfully developed the world’s first single chip compatible with the newly approved North American mobile digital TV broadcasting standard.
Samsung’s latest chip innovation combines the radio frequency (RF) and digital chip components into one single 65 nanometer (nm)-scale chip. Compared to traditional multiple-chip sets, the single chip provides makers of various mobile devices including mobile phones, car-mounted televisions and portable media players an optimal solution that is more compact, uses less power, and is more affordable.
The Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC) has been working towards standardizing mobile digital TV broadcasting utilizing the existing digital TV broadcasting spectrum and facilities since May 2007. After a membership vote that concluded yesterday, ATSC Mobile DTV was officially adopted as an ATSC standard.
“Prior to Samsung’s technical demonstration at the 2006 NAB Show, industry experts believed that the compatibility of mobile TV broadcasting technology with the existing ATSC broadcasting system was not possible. In early 2005, Samsung Electronics decided to apply significant resources to ATSC standardization,” said Mr. Byung Duck Cho, executive vice president of the Digital Media and Communications R&D Center of Samsung Electronics. “Samsung succeeded in ATSC Mobile DTV standardization through its dedication and support in cooperation with the ATSC, broadcasters, and other electronics manufacturers. Through this collaborative accomplishment, Samsung Electronics aims to advance its leadership in the North American mobile market with mobile TV.”
Over 70 broadcast stations have announced their support of this initiative and have agreed to broadcast on a trial basis across North America by the end of 2009. The goal is to prepare for formal broadcasting tests to North American consumers beginning in early 2010.
ATSC Mobile DTV makes live mobile broadcast TV possible by installing minimal additional equipment at existing TV transmitters while utilizing the same frequencies as current terrestrial digital TV broadcasting. ATSC Mobile DTV does not influence current DTV receivers even when operating in the same channels making it in-band compatible. It is widely considered as the best solution for mobile broadcast digital television in North America. Through mobile broadcasting, consumers will be able to access free content such as local news, emergency alerts, weather reports and entertainment as well as premium paid services.

American Decay
While witnessing the expected rapid decline of the Greenback, I am confronted with all that are wrong with the ideologies of the Americans.
First and foremost, let me give you a hint – Land of the Free. Did you get freedom? I can argue that freedom is the fundamental and critical flaw in the American ideology. From top down, democracy is the only choice for freedom seekers and it bogs down the system with inefficiency. Simply too many cooks spoil the soup and not to mention, majority of the people are incapable of differentiating propagandas and rationale. Most people are plain, bluntly put, dumb and ignorant. So the obvious problem is you have a country run by idiots chosen by idiots representing idiots. Now, if that is not a recipe for catastrophe, I don’t know what is.
Freedom accentuates differences in individual opinions creating controversies. The good news is the United States have found a way to resolve such. The bad news is, deny it all they can, the Godfather of terrorism is the one and only United States. Terrorism was created to rule. Being the leader of the developed world, whether by means of brute force, economic sanctions or political influence, the most powerful country in the world will do what it takes to keep its power. The difference is they can do it under the pretence of the protector of the greater good of mankind (ironic that they can make decisions for everyone) and they can sugarcoat their lies with lame reasons (yet no one dares to defy even though defiance will be futile as in Bush’s era). No other country is as nosy as the US which seems to think they can run every country better than they can themselves. One has to wonder how they get the time when their own homeland issues are unresolved.
For example, there is the creation of debt to buy what really can’t be afforded so every American can have a home and live the life they want. For some reason, they seem to believe that they can enjoy eternal economic growth at a greater rate than the interest of debt. In other words, they do not think they need to pay in the end (marked by the ridiculously trillions of national debt US owed). The question is who is paying for the hundreds of billions of dollars spent on space exploration, weapon enhancements and keeping Wall Street happy.
But somehow they have survived while other countries have not with the level of debt. Why and how? It’s really quite simple. The trigger-happy United States can conjure up any whack excuse to exercise their dominance. I might add, whoever came up with the idea to sell on fear is a genius. Selling arms of war to those in need is not only highly profitable, it also reinforces the need for US to be more totalitarian and to build more deadly weaponry which leads to even more need to sell arms of war. It’s a beautiful money making and power building cycle.
Wake up and smell the flowers, America. There are people living with less than a dollar a day, eating less than one meal a day, no home, no job and no future. They were born to live a slow and agonizing death. They are the results of the exploitation. There are other pressing issues of pollution and global warming, overpopulation, diseases and scarcity of resources which conditions are deteriorating by the second. You can preach freedom, equality and prosperity all you want, but at the end of the day, you better get your priorities straight because times are different and you are no longer the all almighty you once were.
