Changemakers - Making a difference

The other day, I stumbled upon a social innovation website, Changemakers. Changemakers, as its name suggests, focuses on providing solutions and resources needed to help everyone become a changemaker and presenting compelling stories that explore the fundamental principles of successful social innovation around the world.

There are plenty of informative resources to keep you occupied and I particularly found the following articles stimulating - "Alternative Currencies", "Financial Crisis - An Opportunity To Innovate" and "Imagine: A Bank Putting Your Money Where Your Heart Is".

The key here is these are real life problems we are reading about here. When you talk about making a difference in the world one small step at a time, this may be a good place to start.

The precedent raised in the "Financial Crisis - An Opportunity to Innovate" is very good reason why everyone should vote for Obama...other than the fact that the republicans totally blundered by recruiting Palin to be running mate...Obama at least has his head in the "Let's create jobs" lane...

I hope the "let's teach people to fish instead of giving them fishes" idea will take root in the States. I know Obama talks about getting everyone united on the front of solving the deeply rooted economical problems here...as you can tell, I like the guy...
