"The trouble with the world is that the stupid are dead sure and the intelligent are full of doubt."
The intelligent are full of doubt because they know the limitations of what they do know or understand and the extent of their ignorance. The stupid, on the other hand, knows only their blind self-confidence and stubbornness.
Take for example democracy. We have a group of less intelligent or stupid that thinks they are voting for the intelligent to help them run the country for the betterment of the society. Yet as it turns out, the voters are the intelligents as they know their limitations. The so-called leaders are nothing more than a package of superiority hiding the fact that they are equally clueless or even more so.
Or maybe, it would be more accurate to define the intelligent and stupid as a never-ending cycle. Sooner or later, the stupid grows intelligent and the intelligent grows stupid. Maybe it would be easier to just think that everyone is intelligent, with the ability to distinguish right and wrong, and to learn from mistake and what it means to be human.
My life is exemplified by many mistakes. And they are mistakes of my ignorance. But, at least, I am willing to learn to change.

Actually, I wanted to write about my relationship with my dad. For those of you who understand how that fits into the topic, you probably can guess why I eventually chose not to.
